Black Cat Bathroom Mission

The 2013 redo's have finally begun. 

Yaaaaaay!

To reflect my love for black cats,

I've decided to redo our

bathroom in a black cat theme.

I'm now totally addicted to Pinterest

and hope to execute many

of the nifty and

clever pins I've 

"pinned".

I began with the duanting task of removing 

icky old wallpaper from

an old cupboard.

This pin totally

did the job!
I scrubbed and cleaned
this sucker good.

Total out of pocket cost: $5

The two mirrors above the cabinet were 

purchased at the 99 Cent Store along with the 

black rose contact paper &

2 rows of hooks which I attached

to the bottom, as well as the back, of the cabinet.

I had the fabric and tension rod on hand.

The ingredients used for my DIY

wallpaper remover

were already in the laundry room.

One section of our bathroom
has now been completed.
I've got 6 more sections 

to conquer.

Anticipation

I consider myself an autumn and winter person. 

The Spring here in the armpit of California is nice, but

the summers here are brutal.

Ew.

I am enjoying the winter and it's cold weather, yet I feel 

a stirring anticipation for the 

weather to heat up a bit.

Say it ain't so.

This is so out of character for me, 

for I usually cling to the winter and 

cold weather and 

dread the beginning of Spring.

This year is different.

I've got big plans for some DIY 

home renovations.

I am excited about 

cleaning up the yard, fixing up the back patio, 

creating a kick ass garden, 

retiling the bathroom floor, 

and redoing our kitchen.

Oh, and we are also planning on painting the exterior 

of the house.

Yaaaaay!

Baby Steps

 

I've been teaching myself to crochet.

I am determined.

I have mastered the slip knot, chain, & single chain.
